The Art of David Geister.  David is a Minnesota based artist specializing in early American history and the landscapes and people  of the upper Mississippi River.  His work is used by historical institutions, appears in books and magazines, and can be found on the walls of collectors. My thanks to David for allowing me use his work on these pages.

 
Battleship USS Washington BB56Informative site dedicated to the United States Navy's World War II battleship USS Washington, including a history of the ship, photographs, and information on her officers and crew.


Calgary Military Museums Society  Canadian based site created with the goal of inspiring citizenship in Canada's youth through an appreciation of our military history, and providing knowledge of our proud past. The CMMS hopes to educate Canadians so that they will appreciate the role of the Canadian military in protecting Canada's interests, values and beliefs as well as understanding our countries role in shaping our country and the world.


Canada's Naval Communicators  A website constructed for Naval  Communicators, past and present, as well as all other branches of the Canadian Navy and the Canadian Forces.


Canadian Forces Snowbirds (Un-official page).  Part of the Knight's Canadian Info Collection, this well organized site traces the history of the Canadian Air Force's military demonstration team, the 432 Air Demonstration Squadron, better known as the "Snowbirds".


Canadian Provost Corps.  A very informative site dedicated to all former members of the Canadian Provost Corps, the former Service Police of the Canadian Army, and forerunner of today's Military Police.


Canadian Ruhr Memories, 1953-1971.  Dedicated to the members of the Canadian Forces, dependants, and teachers who lived, worked, and played in the Ruhr Valley.


Canadian Vietnam Veterans Association (Manitoba).  A site dedicated to assisting and supporting Canadian Vietnam veterans and their families, honouring those who have fallen, and helping Canada's Vietnam veterans obtain assistance through the Canadian and United States governments.


Centurio. A new website for individuals, units and troops of the Canadian military.  Members can chat, instant message, and have access to forums and e-mail.  Some proceeds also support the Military Casualty Support Foundation.


Charles Dobie's RCN Photographs.  An excellent collection of photographs from Charles Dobie's service as a sailor in the Royal Canadian Navy.  Also includes photographs of ships and shipmates from other contributers.


David Pentland Art.  Northern Ireland based artist and illustrator David Pentland's gallery of military aviation, military land vehicles, and non-military art.  Thanks to David for allowing the use of several of his images on this site.


Dorset Soldiers.  Painted figures and 54mm castings, boxed and un-boxed, are the specialty of this British based firm, who have been in business since 1976. 


E.D. Walker - Marine Artist. Ted Walker is a world renowned marine artist, who's work includes deep-sea sailing vessels, the majestic Cunarders, RMS Titanic, and many others.  His works are found in public, private and royal collections, and he is the official artist for the RMS Titanic Artifacts Exhibition touring Europe and North America.


General Arthur Currie Memorial Project.  A project created to raise raise a statue in honour of Canada's great First World War leader in his hometown of Strathroy, Ontario.  Supported by the Royal Canadian Legion, Strathroy-Caradoc branch.


Glengarry Light Infantry Fencibles.  Informative site honouring a regiment formed in Eastern Canada, who fought with distinction during the War of 1812. 


HMCS Haida.  The last of the tribal class destroyers, built for the Canadian, British and Australian navies during the Second World War.  Haida has been preserved as a museum ship on the waterfront at Hamilton, Ontario.


John M. Horton, Canadian Marine Artist. John's works consist mainly of maritime prints illustrating historical events, present day marine scenes, and paintings encompassing past and present action of naval forces. My thanks to John for allowing the use of some of his works on this site.


Johnson Reference Books and Militaria.  Dealer of German daggers, swords, bayonetts and other Third Reich edged weapons, as well as a collection of reference books


Juno Beach Centre.  A museum and cultural centre in France honouring the war effort made by Canadians, military and civilian alike, during the Second World War.  The centre is a non-profit organization, designated a site of national significance to Canada.


Korean Veteran's Association of Canada.  Website dedicated to the 516 Canadian soldiers and sailors who made the supreme sacrifice during the Korean War, as well as honouring those veterans who survived.


Larry's Military Collectibles. An interesting collection of military hats from both world wars, police chief hats, and an assortment of military weapons.


Last Post Fund.  For 100 years, the Last Post Fund has ensured that no eligible veteran is deprived of a dignified funeral and burial for lack of financial resources.  Its chief mandate is to deliver the Funeral and Burial Program on behalf of Veterans Affairs Canada.


Manitoba Dragoons Restored Staghound.  Marco Hogenkamp's website from the Netherlands documenting the restoration of his Staghound, as well as providing information on these vehicles, which were widely used by the Canadian Army during World War Two.


Maritime Prints and Originals.  British based dealer of artwork by respected marine artists.  My thanks to them for allowing the use of one of these particular works of art on my site.


Memoirs of Gordie Bannerman.  Incredible diary of Gordon Bannerman, a soldier who fought in the Canadian Army during the Second World War.  A great source of information from someone who was actually there.

ling Centre.  An organization providing health and wellness services, counselling and education to members of the armed forces, as well as organizing the 2010 Walk for the Troops, which is raising funds for "Soldier On', as well as awareness of combat stress in Canada.


My Dog Tag.  Canadian based company which provides custom made dog tags as well as survival gear, clothing, gift certificates and other interesting military type items.


Military Trucks.  Informative website providing information on the vast line of military vehicles used by the Canadian military, as well as striving to preserve the heritage of these vehicles, and honour the troops who operated them.


My Lost Trails.  A social networking site designed for veterans, serving and retired members and their families of the military services, cadets, civilian employees, brats, and emergency services personnel from Canada and the United States.


My Royal Canadian Navy.  Thomas Spowart's personal website, which tells the story of his time in the RCN, as well as providing informative infomation on the ships and personnel of the Canadian navy.


National Air Force Museum of Canada.  One of my favourite all time military museums, this facility houses some of the finest displays of uniforms, memorabilia, art and restored aircraft in Canada.  It is also home to a restored Halifax bomber, only one of three remaining in the world. 


Navy League of Canada.  Established in 1895 to promote in maritime affairs, today's Navy League has a presence in over 260 Canadian communities, benefiting 15,000 young Canadians every year.


Oshawa Naval Veterans Club.  Official website of the naval veteran's club located in Oshawa, Ontario.  Site contains some great links, as well photos of the HMCS Oshawa and other Canadian warships.


Red Skorpio Toy Soldiers and Collectibles.  Argentina based company which manufactures a line of custom painted toy soldiers based on the William Britains Deetail line, as well as flags for use with 54mm figures.  Line includes soldiers from the French Foreign Legion, American Civil War, World War II and the British Royal Guards.


Rich Thistle Art Studio.  Canadian artist Rich Thistle is internationally recognized for his general and military aviation, watercolour landscape paintings, and automotive art.  His work is in public, corporate and private collections worldwide. My thanks to Rich for allowing the use of some of his works on this site.


Spitfire Emporium  Based in Kitchener, Ontario, the Spitfire Emporium is a retail store featuring everything the aviation enthusiast could dream of.  Books, models, posters, prints, flight suits, video's, t-shirts, patches, pins, mouse pads, toys, maps and much more.  A one stop source for aviation collectables and information.


The Memory Project.  A record of Canada's participation in the Second World War, as seen through the eyes of thousands of veterans.  This project intends to allow every living veteran the opportunity to share their memories through interviews, artifacts and memorabilia. 


Through Their Eyes.   High resolution scans on CD of images produced from original British, German and American military photo albums.  Span both world wars, as well as various other conflicts.


Toy Soldier's, An Online Gallery.  Informative site by Australian toy soldier collector and painter John O'Brien.  Contains some excellent photos from medieval times to the Second World War.


USS George E. Davis.  Excellent website about an American destroyer escort in the Second World War.  The site contains a wealth of information about the ship and her crew


Wounded Warriors.  Started in 2006 by Captain Wayne Johnston, Wounded Warriors is an independent, not for profit charity that supports Canadian soldiers wounded overseas.
